George was the 2000 and 2011 Connecticut Section PGA Teacher of the Year, a Certified Aimpoint Instructor, a Certified Instructor for the SeeMore Putting Institute and has been rated on of the top Instructors by Golfing Magazine and Golf Digest. An instructor and coach for over 20 years George’s simple approach to the sport accommodates the individuals physical ability and skill level. George’s students include State Amateur Champions, Collegiate players as well as beginners. 2000 Connecticut Section PGA Teacher of the Year; Golf Magazine listed George as one of the top Instructors in the Northeast; Golf Digest has rated George as one of the Top Instructors in Connecticut; PGA of America Specialty Certification in Teaching; Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor.
George DeVita II
George DeVita is the head professional at Farmington Woods Golf Club. George has given over 2,000 individual lessons to players of all skill levels. He is enjoying much success as an Impact Zone Golf Certified Instructor in the Hartford area, with students also traveling in from Boston and NYC to take lessons in the Impact Zone Five Dynamics. Prior to his move to the Northeast, he held the Lead Assistant Golf Professional position at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio; home to the Memorial tournament and Jack Nicklaus. George has successfully developed many group lesson programs dedicated to teaching scoring and improving short-game fundamentals in all players. George is currently working with many of the leading junior golfers and amateurs in CT. His approach to teaching is simple, yet educational. With the use of video technology, drills and training aides George is able to communicate the most complex ideas in easy-to-understand terms.
Kevin has been a golf instructor for 18 years. A PGA member since 2004, he was awarded the 2014 Connecticut Section Player Development award for his efforts in developing golfers of every level. He was also recognized as a Top 50 Kids Golf Teacher in 2012 by US Kids Golf Foundation. Throughout his career, Kevin has worked to increase the enjoyment of every golfer that seeks him out for a lesson, golf advice, club fitting, and to play more golf. His role at Goodwin Park Golf Course allows him to interact with golfers of every level and provide a complete approach to golf improvement. He is certified as a TPI Golf Coach level 2, a US Kids Golf Certified Instructor, and is SPi Certified from SeeMore putters. Kevin is also clubfitting certified with Titleist and Tour Edge/Exotics.
Dave Souza is the Owner and Center Manager of the GolfTEC West Hartford Training Center. Dave has been coaching with GolfTEC for over seven years in the Boston area and has taught over 7,000 lessons. He truly believes in the GolfTEC process for improvement, which focuses on measurable, fact-based changes to the golf swing. By utilizing the latest motion-measurement technology, he can teach golfers of all levels how to achieve their personal goals the fastest. The results are consistent: students are more confident on the course and play better golf. GolfTEC has recently released the findings of the most comprehensive big data study on the golf swing ever done, called SwingTRU. Dave will discuss the benefits of the SwingTRU study in his presentation, helping golfers learn what really makes the great players great.
